You'll be asked to list your extracurricular activities and describe why you want to join the LAMP community. The short essay question allows you to showcase your writing and argumentation skills.
Who can apply
Successful applicants will typically have a GPA of at least 3.3 and must at the time of graduation have a minimum GPA of 3.3 in order to receive the honors certificate.

Freshmen and Sophomores
IU freshmen* and sophomores pursuing a degree on the IU Bloomington campus may apply to the LAMP honors certificate program.
*Note: Freshmen will be admitted on a provisional basis and will remain in the honors program only if they can maintain a 3.3+ GPA.
Juniors
We do, on occasion, accept juniors into the honors certificate program. Juniors will need to look at the LAMP certificate requirements with a LAMP advisor to make sure that everything can be completed on time before graduation.
